-What's the X in pcXmedics stand for?
X stands for everything with a circuit board. If it's got one, we'll fix it!

-Do you really give out FREE loaner laptops and iPods?
Yes! If one is available, we will give you a loaner while we fix yours. Our laptops have at least the following software:

Use your backlight only when you need it, like in dim light.
Turn off your equalizer (EQ) since it uses more battery power.
Keep your iPod around room temperature, even when its not on. Extreme temperatures can adversely affect battery lifetime.
Use the hold switch to prevent your iPod from turning on when you don't want it to.
Download the latest software patches from Apple, in case they contain tweaks for power performance.

pcXmedics will contact you to schedule a pickup or home service at your convenience.
Depending on stock, pcXmedics will give you a loaner laptop or iPod to use while we service yours.
For picked up items, we will get back to you within a week with a FREE diagnosis and estimate.
If you agree to the service, pcXmedics will fix your hardware and contact you as soon as it’s ready.
You may also choose to donate your hardware to our recycling initiative.

Should you choose to simply have your hardware returned, no problem! We’ll drop it off for free, so you have nothing to lose!

-Can you fix my iPod?
We can fix almost any problem on any iPod. If for some reason we can't, you won't pay a penny!

-What services do you offer?
Many of our services are listed on the services page. Ask us if you have other questions!

-Will you really pick up and drop off my iPod/computer/etc for free?
Yes! But only if it fits in our trunk, and one of our drivers can meet you in or near one of the following: Ithaca, Endicott, Danby, Candor, Apalachin, or Binghamton. Of course, exceptions may apply, so feel free to ask! We also have a flexible pickup schedule to better serve you.

-Im not sure if my device is worth fixing. Could you just check it out?
Of course! If it doesn't take us long to diagnose something, we won't charge you! We'll just let you know what it will take to fix your problems, and you may decide. Either way, we will deliver it back to you, free of charge.
